It is sad to say goodbye to our amazing summer students. Luckily, they will still come back during the year. Great job Emily!!!! I am so lucky to have you in the lab
For years, our research has centered on understanding how Bordetella species manipulate the host immune system to persist and reshape airway biology causing. Our work revealed an unexpected player in this story: eosinophils. Traditionally associated with parasitic infections and allergies, eosinophils turn out to play a powerful and surprising role in bacterial infections. From demonstrating how Bordetella induces eosinophil-rich iBALT structures, to showing that eosinophils
My first time at ABRCMS, and certainly not the last. I had the privilege of judging the work of the next generation of scientists, many of them undergraduates, and their research was truly outstanding. The level of talent, enthusiasm, and mentorship on display was inspiring. I have also meet with mentors, leaders on the field, and colleagues. What an incredible meeting celebrating the achievements of these remarkable students
