This summer, we had the pleasure of hosting KSLA 12 News as they visited to learn more about our undergraduate and Ph.D. fellowship programs, developed in partnership with the Fundación Barrié de la Maza in Galicia, Spain.

These programs bring outstanding Spanish students to LSU Health Shreveport, where they gain hands-on research experience while contributing to our scientific community. It’s a wonderful exchange, we welcome exceptional talent while helping shape the next generation of scientists and leaders. My first time at ABRCMS, and certainly not the last. I had the privilege of judging the work of the next generation of scientists, many of them undergraduates, and their research was truly outstanding. The level of talent, enthusiasm, and mentorship on display was inspiring. I have also meet with mentors, leaders on the field, and colleagues. What an incredible meeting celebrating the achievements of these remarkable students
